“Accounting & Taxes” Featured at the French American Chamber of Commerce San Francisco “Business Booster” Workshop Series

PRG’s CEO Grant A. Morris was a featured presenter April 2nd at the French American Chamber of Commerce San Francisco (FACCSF) “Business Booster” series of workshops, aimed at French entrepreneurs setting up US businesses or subsidiaries. Grant and co-presenter Lawrence B. (Larry) Wood, CPA, CFP and Managing Partner of the DZH Phillips, LLP accounting firm, led the workshop “Accounting and Taxes for French Entrepreneurs”  for an enthusiastic and engaged audience of French business people.

Topics covered included business formation options (LLC vs. Inc., etc). accounting methods, levels of taxation, employee regulations and payroll taxes, employee vs. independent contractor status, HR systems, types of compensation and employment taxes.  The discussion was informative, lively and relevant for the participants, who also had a chance to mingle afterwards at an informal reception hosted at the FACCSF.
